Helen graduated from Salford University in 2002 with a BSc in Physics with Acoustics and has worked in building acoustics ever since.
She spent several years working in London and the South East before relocating to Manchester, and now leads RBA’s Northern team having joined the company in 2017. She became a Director in 2022.
Helen specialises in building acoustics, and in particular the design of residential properties. She has advised on numerous high profile residential developments, offices, hotels, education and research institutes, mixed use developments, and performance spaces. These projects have mainly been located in the UK, but also in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
She is a Chartered Engineer, and actively promotes acoustics as a STEM subject, speaking in schools and universities, and taking part in projects to promote engineering to the wider public.
