Director Russell Richardson has been appointed by the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) as Senior Examiner for the ANC Sound Insulation Testing Registration Scheme, which provides a means of Building Control Officers to verify the results of sound insulation in residential buildings. The appointment is for a five-year term.
Russell has been an Examiner since 2012, reviewing new applications, undertaking annual audits for the member companies and witnessing testers on-site. As Senior Examiner, Russell will chair the Examiners Committee and overview the work of the other Examiners. Russell is proud to take over the role from Sue Bird, current ANC President. Russell said, “It is a great honour to take on this role, especially from such a distinguished acoustician as Sue, who has served the ANC so magnificently over the years”.
Russell (and RBA Acoustics) has been a member of the Scheme since its inception in 2004 and has also sat on the ANC Registration Scheme Committee for several years.
