RBA Acoustics were given a “Highly Commended” award in the Sound Insulation category at the Acoustic Awards 2015 hosted by the ANC.
The project – Everyman Cinemas, Birmingham – required innovative solutions to overcome the inherent construction difficulties, namely a high noise generating cinema adjacent to an extremely sensitive BBC studio. The judges were impressed with the high level of detail provided by both the technical design and the attenuations achieved in the sound insulation, particularly given the acoustic challenge the site presented.
