Project Overview
Voith Turbo UK provide extensive refurbishment and testing works to rail and heavy goods vehicles. In order to house both the company’s offices as well as their engineering operation a proposal was made to relocate the facility from Hayes, Middlesex, to The Metropolitan Centre, Greenford.

RBA Acoustics were appointed as acoustic consultants to aid in the discharge of a planning condition imposed by the local council to ensure that nearby residents were not affected by the company’s operation at their new site.
Results from the testing and careful assessments made by RBA determined that there would be no noise impact to the residents and therefore no need to implement costly mitigation services. The planning condition was dismissed and the premises began operating in May 2010.
