This Space is a conversion of the existing South Bank University building on Wandsworth Road. It provides 173 private & affordable residential units and 3650 sq.m of commercial space in the Nine Elms area of London.

RBA Acoustics were appointed as acoustic consultants and undertook all acoustic design and testing including the successful separating structure between the noise generating theatre and residential units.
RBA tested the existing building and advised the client on how to achieve the optimum building acoustics for noise control to/from the apartments. On completion the building received certification that it met the enhanced building standards set out in the EcoHomes 2006 assessment.
RBA also advised on the conversion of the existing university lecture hall into a space to house the Lost Theatre Company – comprising a 181 seat auditorium, 2 rehearsal studios and ancillary spaces.
The development received wide recognition in the press for its great location, value for money and stylish design.
