Royal Victoria Patriotic Building

Project Overview

The Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, located in Wandsworth, was originally constructed in 1859 as a girls school for orphans of the Crimean War.

This gothic, Grade II listed building has been undergoing renovation works for almost 3 decades, including the change of usage of a number of areas into educational and retail units.

John Dickinson Architect are leading the latest proposed works, which included additional mechanical services equipment proposed within the grounds of the building, serving commercial units.

RBA Acoustics are pleased to have been involved in providing a robust noise assessment to assess the potential impact of mechanical services noise on the surrounding occupants of the building. Our assessment helped the architects to meet the relevant acoustic guidelines, whilst also upholding the quiet and serene, historic character of the building.
