The Lanesborough hotel at Hyde Park Corner has recently undergone redevelopment. As part of this renovation, a deluxe health club & spa has been constructed in the former Al Jazeera offices next door.
The Lanesborough Club & Spa is one of London’s most exclusive private member fitness and health clubs. Employed by project managers Tower Eight, RBA Acoustics have provided acoustic consultancy services in all aspects required for the scheme.
One aspect of the consultancy provided has been on the internal fabric within the health club to ensure acoustic conditions are appropriate for the use of the specialist spaces within the spa.
The project has also met it’s challenges, with a particularly trialing HVAC noise assessment due to the extent of the plant items required and the low existing background conditions around the site.
