Greenford Green, the UK’s largest purpose-designed build to rent scheme to date, has received planning approval from the London Borough of Ealing’s Planning Committee.
The project by US Multifamily operator Greystar and with a design team led by HTA Design will redevelop derelict, former industrial land adjacent to the Grand Union Canal in Greenford into a unique, attractive mixed-use neighbourhood.
A total of 1,965 new homes are planned, of which around 75% will be build to rent and managed by Greystar to create a long-term community. The scheme will introduce new local shops and workspaces, a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, a local cinema, a health centre and a 2-form entry primary school.
