We’re excited to be part of one of the North’s most vibrant and lively cities, Manchester. Known for its diverse culture, sports fanatics and music scene, these are the events already in our calendars for 2015:
Rugby World Cup
This year’s Rugby World Cup is coming to Manchester. England fans will be making their way to the Etihad Stadium on 10 October to watch the host nation take on play-off winners Uruguay. Fans will also be able to watch games at a special Fanzone area in the city centre.
Grill Stock Festival
Following a sell-out 2014, Grill Stock returns to Manchester delighting music and barbecue fans. Dozens of competition BBQ teams from across the world will be competing and hip-hop, blues, rock and country will once again be the soundtrack to a weekend where 9 tonnes of meat and 100,000 pints of craft beer are consumed.
Hotel Football
Owned by Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and other notable members of the “Class of ’92”, Hotel Football opens its doors this week! Boasting 133 rooms and located next to Old Trafford, the hotel aims to provide the ultimate fan experience. Boasting a 5-a-side football pitch on the roof under a retractable cover, the game will go on whatever the weather.
Great Manchester Run
Europe’s biggest 10K event has seen more that 250,000 runners take to the streets of Manchester since it’s establishment in 2003. The event will be broadcast live on the BBC and has raised over £22 million for charity. This year’s event takes place on Sunday 10th May and will feature some of the world’s top athletes.
Manchester Jazz Festival
Manchester Jazz Festival celebrates 20 years in 2015. With 10 days of live jazz in the heart of the city centre and fringe events at venues like Band on the Wall, Matt & Phreds, Soup Kitchen and The Midland, this is a festival not to miss!
