RBA maintain good working relationships with Local Authorities and are often asked to provide specialist independent advice on behalf of the authority or in assisting other public bodies.
To ensure compliance with Noise at Work regulations, Southwark Council employed RBA to undertake assessments across a number of departments to establish the daily noise exposure of employees and to make recommendations to ensure their hearing is protected.
USAR teams deal with major disasters such as collapsed buildings and major traffic collisions and are equipped with specialised search and rescue equipment. As part of the design of a new training facility in Kent, RBA were appointed by the architects to carry out various noise assessments in order to create a facility that would allow the training that would not disturb nearby residents.
The Safer Neighbourhoods scheme was introduced as a way of improving the link between the police and local communities. Located in small retail type units within the community, RBA Acoustics have successfully completed noise impact assessments for more than 50 Safer Neighbourhoods offices.
